About Gold Badge Writing
Gold Badge Writing is a collection of books, written by author and retired police officer, Jim Norton, which capture my experiences during my career. The first two books were written to allow the reader into the life of a street cop. They are titled The Way it Was....A Cop's Story and The Way it Was....A Cop's Story - Volume Two. The stories within range from comical, funny, sad and even terrifying.

​​I have recently released Ivey, badge 44 encompasses the tragic, true crime biography of a Salina Police Officer's murder, the aftermath and far beyond. This compelling story will open eyes to what happens when a Police Officer loses their life in the line of duty. It is a biographical tribute to the life and death of Salina Kansas, Police Officer Jerry R. Ivey.
